San Francisco’s free outdoor swing dance since 1996!

WHAT:
Lindy in the Park (LitP) is a fun, free, friendly, public outdoor swing dance in San Francisco’s beautiful Golden Gate park. Free beginning swing dance lesson with Hep Jen & Ken Watanabe: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm. No partner or experience required. DJ’s Ken Watanabe, Naomi Walenta, and guests provide the music; you provide the happy feet!

WHO:
Lindy in the Park is open to the general public (all ages) for anyone who enjoys dancing or listening to swing music.

WHERE:
LitP takes place in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, near the Music Concourse and the de Young Museum, on the wide, south sidewalk area of John F. Kennedy Drive, between the 8th Ave. and 10th Ave. park entrances.

WHEN:
Every Sunday, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, year-round, weather permitting (no rain), even on holiday weekends (unless posted otherwise, here, on our website).
11:00 am – 2:00 pm: DJ’ed Music & Dancing
12:00 pm – 12:30 pm: Free Beginning Lesson with Hep Jen & Ken Watanabe
~1:00pm: Free Jazz Step of the Week

HOW TO GET HERE:
If arriving by car, we recommend parking on or near Fulton St. (the northern border of Golden Gate Park) and walking into the park using the 8th or 10th Ave. park entrances from Fulton to reach JFK Drive. (Note that the 8th Ave. entrance and JFK Dr. are closed to traffic on Sundays.) The following Muni lines are also a great option: N-Judah, 5-Fulton, 28-19th Ave, 31-Balboa, 33-Stanyan, 38-Geary, 43-Masonic, 44-O’Shaughnessy, 71-Haight/Noriega.
