choreographed by Hep Jen, Ken Watanabe, and Nathan Dias, April 2006
BACKGROUND:
In February 2006, we started something new at Lindy in the Park in which we dance a fun little routine in a swingout line. Our goal was to create a simple, fun routine in which everyone could join and experience the excitement of dancing in a group. Each week, we have added more steps to the routine, and we have now completed the full choreography. Woo-hoo!!!
We dance the routine every Sunday at the park at a moderate tempo to give people a chance to learn and review the sequence, and sometimes we also do the routine a second time a little later at a smokin’ fast tempo, just for the thrill of it! Everyone is welcome to join in!
Ready? Here’s the choreography:
FIRST CHORUS:
3 Swingouts (first one from closed position)
Lindy Circle
3 Side-by-Side Charlestons
Jump Turn
Boogie Back

grip)

I just wish I hadn’t messed up the Boogie section the first time through (I’m still working on calling out the steps and dancing at the same time!). I suggest that you watch Jen (not me) during this section
